Castrol Super Bowl Hospitality Weekend at Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix, AZ in Collaboration with Mindshare USA

DDK Productions curated and produced an authentic experience for Castrol’s sales team & key VIP customers in Phoenix, AZ at this year’s Super Bowl LVII. Castrol has been the Official Motor Oil of the NFL for the past 13 years. Guests enjoyed a fantastic stay at The Westin in downtown Phoenix and began their trip with a beautiful, private reception at Jacy & Dakotas, a desert oasis in the center of the city. They got to listen to and meet San Francisco 49er QB great, Alex Smith who passionately shared his experience of injury on the playing field and his heroic return to play professionally again. On Saturday, morning guests had a wonderful and fun experience at the Phoenix Raceway. Guests got to drive racecars while being coached and encouraged by NASCAR legend Brad Keselowski and the RFK Racing Team. That evening the guests were transported out to Pizzeria Bianco, owned, and operated by Chris Bianco, James Beard Award-winning chef, restaurateur, and Netflix star! The dinner party event was fully decorated in car-themed elements, delicious Italian cuisine, and culminated with an entertaining Q&A with an Arizona Cardinal icon, Larry Fitzgerald plus many other fun moments throughout the evening! Guests were then escorted to the big game on Sunday at State Farm Stadium and treated to a great game and got to wrap up their weekend with a goodbye reception before departing the next morning.

Activation Details & Executed Services

  • Leadership role in collaboration with Mindshare & Castrol teams in the coordination, logistics and onsite execution of Super Bowl LVIl Hospitality Weekend for Castrol’s 25 executives and guests

  • Sourced, hired and collaborated with the Creative Director on the project on all elements of design, décor and branded assets for the events

  • Sourced & contracted all needed event/activity venues (hotel, dinner events and Saturday Nascar Experience activity)

  • Produced full-scale event production for Saturday night dinner at Pizzeria Bianco (décor and catering)

  • Managed transportation for guests throughout the weekend

  • Act as the strategic and planning lead for all hospitality related elements during the guest’s experience

  • Led ideation and negotiations with third-party partners/vendors for any/all added-value component needs within overall activation experience (i.e., venue/décor/AV for group dinners and activities, photographer, transportation, hotel, additional staffing support, etc.)
